The first game based on Nickelodeon's The Wild Thornberrys is a six-level action adventure for the Game Boy Color. Each level features a different character from the globetrotting animated series, beginning with Eliza Thornberry in "Born to be Free". As the pigtailed redhead, players must find and rescue caged animals while avoiding creatures such as scorpions and jellyfish.Three difficulty settings are available that influence the number of items collected in each level. In addition, a password feature allows players to resume their progress from the last level completed. A two-player board game is also included as a link-up option. Players take turns rolling a die, moving spaces, and revealing cards in an attempt to be the first to reach the end of the board.
