Country music legend Dolly Parton lends her sunny charm as Ruby Diamond, a brassy lounge singer who tries to enter heaven after a sudden, fatal accident. Unfortunately, Ruby lacks enough good deeds to enter those Pearly Gates. Given a second chance and a strict time limit, Ruby returns to Earth to polish her image and learns that by helping others she is helping herself. Roddy McDowall co-stars as St. Peter.
