Shrek's second title on the Game Boy Advance finds the green ogre on a seven-chapter mission to save his peaceful swampland from the irritating fairy tale characters that have suddenly taken up residence. Following the storyline of the blockbuster computer animated film, players will control Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona as they journey across such familiar locales as the woods, swamp, and dragon's castle. The action is played from a side-scrolling perspective using super-deformed characters (giant heads and small bodies). Characters can punch and kick their way past enemies looking to impede their progress, and a few well-timed jumps may be necessary to overcome obstacles strewn along the path.
