Chang Cheh (THE FIVE DEADLY VENOMS) once again assembles the group of actors known as the Five Venoms for this film, an inventive and entertaining entry in their excellent body of work. Here, the venoms are flushed out of their Shaolin Temple when the raiding Manchus burn it and pursue them across the countryside. As usual, Lu Feng is the head bad guy, who tracks the four venoms, each of whom has taken a regular job, leading to an amazing finale that brings all the venoms together for a bravura climax.
