Oriana Caligaris, is happily married to Jose Luis Falcon. They live next to their daughter Alina, in Cartagena, Colombia. All of a sudden, one day everything changes for Oriana when Jose Luis, who works at the Colombian Customs, confesses to her that he has been doing some smuggling activities, and the police are already behind him since he put the earnings he made out of this under her name without her consent, thus, involving her in the business. Disappointed, Oriana escapes to Mexico with her daughter, and looks for her intimate friend Raquel, who owns "El Descanso" hotel in San Carlos, Sonora, together with Lucina.
