A flower shop assistant develops a curious, bloodthirsty hybrid, for which he must keep finding new victims to keep the prized plant alive in this classic dark comedy. Directed by B-movie legend Roger Corman, it was initially conceived as the follow-up to his 1959 film "A Bucket of Blood". Though the film began as little more than a cult favorite, it was eventually developed into the smash hit Broadway musical.
